The CCNA combines its efforts with VIP Coalition leaders, Hazelwood Street Blockwatch Group and most recently (March 2024) with the 27Collab Steering Committee. These groups host monthly meetings at local apartment communities and online to help coordinate the communication efforts of stakeholders, residents, and City of Phoenix Departments - Police, Neighborhood Services, Council Districts #4 & 5, Prosecutors, educational institutions, and local businesses; CCNA has sponsored pro-social anti-crime events since 2008.
These events are held within the Canyon Corridor Community (I-17 to 43rd Ave. and Indian School Road to Dunlap Avenue). The events provide opportunities for a diverse group of neighborhood residents to interact in prosocial environments that includes crime prevention, neighborhood beautification, community gardening and health promotion information. Rehoboth CDC conducts Neighborhood Leadership Academies, developing leadership skills to help with improving civic engagement.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings and contribute to the safety and well-being of our neighborhood. Together, we can make Hazelwood Street a safer and more vibrant place to live. Let’s take action to protect our homes, families, and community!
