Affordable Housing

RCDC believes that all people should have their basic needs met, including quality & affordable housing that preserves their dignity.  Increasing quality affordable housing choices to low and moderate-income individuals and families was identified early as critical to escape the cycles of poverty within the communities Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (RCDC) serves.  RCDC’s Creating Housing Opportunities & Increasing Community Equity Services (CHOICES) Program seeks partnerships with banks, private and non-profit developers, municipalities, churches, and community stakeholders to provide safe, smoke free apartment communities.

Home Buyers Education

This series of homeownership classes is designed to give you a clear path to owning a home. We will cover all of the basics and more. Our commitment to you is to walk you through step by step to help you achieve the dream of homeownership. generational wealth begins with this step. This six week series is offered in person for one and a half hours; there will also be a zoom link provided for online. We strongly suggest to committing to the in person session for one on one attention from the instructors.

Rehoboth Place I

Awarded $7.3 million dollars in City of Phoenix HomeFunds and AZ Dept. of Housing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) / 1402Exchange Credits (due to the housing crisis in 2008) to develop and build Rehoboth Place, a 47-unit affordable housing apartment complex (Opened in April 2011). This community is thriving and is currently 100% occupied.

RCDC provides out of school time activities for children, financial empowerment classes, gardening. RCDC’s Food Service Program, in partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank, serves more than 650 meals annually to children ages 1-18 years.

Rehoboth Place II

Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (“RCDC”) in partnership with Gorman & Company, LLC (“Gorman”), completed Rehoboth Place II in January 2024 and is comprised of 66 units located in the Canyon Corridor neighborhood just south of Grand Canyon University. Rehoboth Place II compliments Rehoboth Place I and provides high quality, affordable units for rent, targeting families who are within 30%, 40%, and 60% of the established area median income (AMI) based on HUD's guidelines.

Rehoboth CDC is committed to expanding access to quality, affordable housing in our community. Our affordable housing program aims to provide safe, quality, stable homes for individuals and families who may struggle to find housing within their budget. Through multi family low-moderate properties, new construction, rehabilitation of existing properties, homebuyer education, and referrals to partner organizations we work to increase the availability of affordable housing options in Arizona.

Participants in our program may benefit from below-market rent rates, homeownership opportunities, financial counseling, and a hand up. We strive to create inclusive neighborhoods and empower residents to build better futures.
